Brian Campbell is determined to bring a golf course near Warren, Manitoba, out of the rough and back on the green with a new name, a few changes to the links and a different way of operating, the Winnipeg Sun reported.

Campbell also plans to develop a campground next to the Warren golf course that has strangely never been used. The campground has been part of the property since the course opened in 1984, but it’s unclear to Campbell as to why there was never an attempt to operate it as an added attraction and source of revenue.

“It was developed and never used,” he said. “I looked through minutes from members (meetings) and it was decided in early 2000s that noboby will ever pay to use that campground.”

Campbell will have a better idea once the weather warms up, but he believes the campground has room for about 60 sites.

“For people who want to use a tent and no power, it’s ready,” he said. “For this year, I will try to get 10 serviced sites going with electricity, water and sewer.”
