The outdoor recreation industry employed more than 4.5 million people in 2016, and generated in excess of $730 billion in total sales, accounting for 2.2% of the U.S. gross domestic product, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Seven governors, outdoor recreation leaders, representatives of REI co-op, the Outdoor Industry Association and the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable and other supporters will attend the networking event.
It is being held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the Utah Natural History Museum . The Grand America Hotel, the venue of the NGA Summer Meeting is a backup option.
NGA plans to run a shuttle bus from The Grand America to the museum before the event.
