Grand Teton Lodge Company’s contract to provide lodging and other visitor services in Grand Teton National Park will be expiring at the end of 2026. The park is seeking applicants to start a 15-year contract in 2027, according to the Jackson Hole News & Guide.

Grand Teton Lodge Company operates Jackson Lake Lodge, Jenny Lake Lodge and the Colter Bay, Gros Ventre and Jenny Lake campgrounds, plus retail, food and beverage services, float trips, horseback trips and transportation. The company employs 1,100 people at peak summer employment.

The chosen concessionaire is expected to bring in $1 billion in revenue and serve 50 million visitors over the life of the contract.

There’s a high likelihood that Grand Teton Lodge Company, which is owned by Vail Resorts, will apply to hold onto the contract, said Alex Klein, the company’s vice president and general manager.

Grand Teton Lodge Company made $72 million in 2024, $64.6 million in 2023 and $56.3 million in 2022. The company paid the National Park Service just under $15 million in “franchise fees” over those three years, $12 million of which stayed in Teton Park.

The next concessionaire is expected to make between $71.8 and $79.4 million in 2027 and between $88 and $97.2 million by 2032.
