Yosemite National Park campgrounds are already full on the reservation system and a limited number of first-come, first-serve campsites still available, KCRA-TV, Sacramento, reported.

All trails in the park are open, however, some may still have snow patches and ice present on the trail.

Glacier Point Road will open for the season on at noon today (May 27), but Tioga Road still remains closed due to snow.

The Half Dome cable will not be in place for the holiday weekend because of the snow still remaining.

Visitors should be aware of the high water level and fast-moving water in the Merced River.

Yosemite’s waterfalls are expected to peak the first week in June and are at full capacity with this being one of the best waterfall conditions in years.

Visitors to the park are urged to arrive before 10 a.m. or after 2 p.m. to avoid long waits at the park’s entrances.
