The jury trial for an Indiana financial manager accused of swindling clients will be rescheduled.

The case against Marcus Schrenker was expected to begin March 8. Network Indiana/WIBC reported the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office requested a delay in order to continue review evidence. A hearing is scheduled for March 25 to discuss a new trial date.

The Indiana Secretary of State’s office has filed multiple charges of securities fraud against Schrenker for allegedly taking $1.5 million from clients.

Last month, a federal judge in Florida sentenced the 38-year-old to 51 months in prison for intentionally crashing his plane in January 2009 in an attempt to fake his death. He later was arrested in at a KOA Kampground near Quincy, Fla.
