The Illinois Go Camping 2020 RV & Camping Guide is now available in printed and digital formats through the Illinois Campground Association (ICA), which hosts a mobile friendly travel planning website at www.IllinoisGoCamping.com.
“It’s a beautiful, yet practical guide. We think consumers are going to love it!” said ICA President Walter Freemen, who also co-owns and operates the Benton Kampgrounds of America (KOA) Journey in Benton. He said ICA printed 45,000 copies of the guide this year.
The guide features write-ups on 40 campgrounds and includes a two-page travel planning map, as well as a grid that allows consumers to quickly see which campgrounds offer 26 different types of amenities and services, from tent camping to rental accommodations to cable TV and Wi-Fi, as well as other characteristics of interest to camping and RVing enthusiasts.
This year’s guide has already been distributed to visitors’ centers, campgrounds and RV dealerships across the Midwest, as well as the RV and Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind. In the coming weeks, the guide will be distributed at many other RV shows, including the Florida RV Super Show in Tampa, Jan. 15-19; the St. Louis RV Vacation & Travel Show in St. Louis, Feb. 21-23; the Chicago RV & Camping Show in Rosemont, Feb. 13-16; the Quad Cities RV Show, Feb. 21-23 in Rock Island; the Central Illinois Recreation Show, March 6-8 in Peoria; and the Rockford RV Camping & Travel Show, March 20-22 in Loves Park.
Fourteen RV dealers across Illinois are also distributing the guide.
The guide is supported by advertising from many campgrounds, including Illinois campgrounds that are affiliated with the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Kampgrounds of America Inc., Sun Communities and Zeman networks, as well as several independently owned and operated campgrounds, RV aftermarket suppliers and RV dealers, including General RV Center, the largest motorhome dealer in Illinois, which took the back cover.
