The sixth annual Santa Claus Land of Lights Family Christmas Light Adventure opens for the season on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 27.
Located inside Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort near Santa Claus, Ind., this custom drive-through outdoor light show tells the Shining Story of Rudolph with thousands of bright, energy-efficient LEDs and dozens of storyboards, according to the announcement from the resort. At 1.2 miles long, it is one of the largest holiday light shows in North America. Each vehicle receives a free photo with Rudolph.
A portion of light show proceeds benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley. Over the past five years, nearly $33,000 in proceeds have helped sponsor families at the Ronald McDonald House in Evansville, Ind.
The Santa Claus Land of Lights will be open from 5-9 p.m. CST on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from Thanksgiving through Dec. 14 and opens nightly Dec. 17 through New Year’s Eve.  The show is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
