Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will keynote the first half of this year’s 4th Annual RV Industry Power Breakfast, a fast-paced, information-rich event catering to early-rising recreational vehicle industry constituents along with civic and business leaders. The Power Breakfast is slated for May 12 from 7-9:45 a.m. at the RV/MH Hall of Fame’s Northern Indiana Event Center in the RV-building hub of Elkhart, Ind.

Anchoring the second half of the program will be a rare moment for industry watchers as Forest River Inc. CEO Pete Liegl and Thor Industries Inc. Chairman Peter Orthwein step up for a “Fireside Chat” touching on an array of relevant topics. In addition, Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) President Frank Hugelmeyer will address industry trends, while RVIA Vice President of Communications and Marketing James Ashurst updates the national Go RVing marketing program and Toby O’Rourke, chief of franchise operations for Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA), reveals the latest intel in American camper trends.

Invited for teleconference remarks (with Congress in session) is U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, a Republican from Indiana’s 2nd district, and U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, a Democrat from South Bend.

The early morning event, which last year drew a capacity crowd of about 750, strategically caters to manufacturing and supplier companies concentrated in and around Elkhart County, but increasingly draws from outside the immediate “Elkhart RV Zone” and from a variety of business sectors that fuel RV sales throughout the country.

The Power Breakfast is organized by a committee comprising Dicor Corp. President Gregg Fore, Forest River General Manager Doug Gaeddert, BJ Thompson of BJ Thompson Associates and RVBusiness and Woodall’s Campground Management magazine partners Sherman Goldenberg and Beverly Gardner.
