Holiday spirit is in the air and the Clinton County (Iowa) Conservation group is ready to take advantage of the season with its third annual Holiday Tree Jubilee, the Clinton Herald reported.

With a number of artificial trees, wreaths, centerpieces and baskets decorated and donated by area contributors to bid on by guests, the two-day event offers the community an opportunity to not only find one-of-a-kind decorations for their holiday but also to give back to the Rock Creek Marina and Campground.

Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, the Holiday Tree Jubilee will allow guests to silently bid on their favorite decorations, all while enjoying the features of the Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center at Rock Creek.

While the event is aimed to raise money for the Friends of Rock Creek, Clinton County Conversation Naturalist Jessica Steines said it is also an opportunity to remind the public that even though camping season may be over, there is still plenty to offer at the campground and eco center during the winter months.
