The Fourth of July holiday is shaping up to be another in the string of record-breaking 2017 holidays at Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) locations in North America.
Advanced reservations show that occupancy at KOA parks for the Fourth of July holiday is up 8.5% over the same period last year.
Numbers are also up for this weekend’s Canada Day celebration, which occurs Saturday, July 1. Canada Day numbers are up 9.2% over last year’s totals.
The increases continues a record trend for KOA campgrounds in 2017. Occupancy for KOA’s Care Camps Big Weekend in May were up 4.5% while occupancy for this year’s Memorial Day Weekend were up nearly 5%.
Labor Day Weekend advanced reservations are also up nearly 23% over advanced reservations at this time last year.
Overall, 2017 KOA camping thus far is up more than 4% over the total for 2016 at this time. KOA is currently on track for its sixth record year in a row over it’s 55-year history.
