KOAA large growth in advanced reservations for the upcoming Father’s Days Weekend at Kampgrounds Of America’s (KOA) 485 locations across North America continues this summer’s trend of rising camping popularity, according to a release from the Montana-based franchisor of independantly owned and operated campgrounds.

The number of advanced reservations for this Father’s Day Weekend are up more than 18% over the same period last year, and total camper nights for the weekend are up 19% from 2014 numbers.

“We are continuing to ride the wave of camping’s popularity in North America,” said KOA President Pat Hittmeier. “Our campground owners have worked hard to provide our campers with the very best accommodations, activities and amenities, and our results show that their efforts are resonating with our guests.”

Thus far in 2015, short-term camper nights are up nearly 11 percent across the 485-campground KOA system in North America. Rustic Cabin camper nights are up 8.6%, Deluxe Cabin camper nights are up 4 percent and tent camper nights are up 10.3%.

Advanced reservations for the remainder of the 2015 camping season are up nearly 15% across the KOA system.
