Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Resort in Santa Claus, Ind., is very involved in helping to make a difference in the community, according to an announcement from the campground. Rudolph himself presented a check to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley for $3,900.00 on Tuesday (April 29). Over the past 5 years, Lake Rudolph has contributed more than $32,000 to the Ronald McDonald House.
“Lake Rudolph is so pleased to be able to be a part of the Ronald McDonald House Family,” said Dave Lovell, marketing director of Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Resort. “We share a common goal in providing a clean, safe and fun environment for families.”
The local Ronald McDonald House serves an average of 1,000 children, parents and extended family members annually with an average length of stay of eight days. The facility, on Washington Avenue next to St. Mary’s Medical Center, opened on Jan. 18, 2010. It supports the families of children receiving medical treatment at Evansville-area hospitals and medical facilities, with a primary focus on the families of neonatal, pediatric and intensive-care patients. The global nonprofit was honored by the American Hospital Association in 2012 for being an exceptional partner in the delivery of health-care services, a testament that RMHC is part of the continuum of care that facilitates improved outcomes for children.
Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort features 500 family lodging options, including cabins, rental RVs, full-hookup RV sites, and tent sites. Lake Rudolph opens for the season on Thursday (May 1).
