Leisure Systems Inc. (LSI) will sponsor a National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) aquatic facility certification program March 13-14 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The training program is for managers and operators of aquatic facilities. The certification course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those working in public, semi-public and municipal pool or waterpark facilities. The program offers a unique discussion of risk management, not usually directed toward operations personnel and is designed to provide information and training for both supervisory and operations personnel, according to an LSI news release.
This two-day course provides in-depth instruction in all facets of aquatic facility operation and management including: filtration, disinfection, water testing and treatment, design considerations, facility management, risk management, facility troubleshooting and hot tub and spa operation.
The course is open to the public, but Jellystone Park personnel will receive a discount. The cost for Jellystone Park personnel will be $100 and for all others it will be $260.
The deadline to pre-register is Feb. 8. Registrants will receive the NRPA’s Aquatic Facility Operator Manual, the most complete and comprehensive publication available on pool operations. The manual undergoes revision every three years to keep current with changing technology.
