Leisure Systems Inc. (LSI) started its annual Symposium & Trade Show for Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort franchisees on Sunday (Nov. 7) and it runs through Wednesday at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Ky.
The symposium will be operating a slightly condensed schedule in 2021 to give vendors and franchisees more time to travel to other shows that are happening around the same time. Instead of running Sunday through Thursday, the symposium will end on Wednesday.
To kick off the symposium LSI’s CEO and president Rob Schutter will be highlighting updates, trends and be focusing on how the system has fared over the past year.
The event’s keynote speaker will be Jesse Cole, owner of the minor league baseball team The Savannah Bananas. He was recently profiled by ESPN.
Educational sessions at the symposium will focus on customer service and staffing, said Marley Behnke, LSI’s director of franchisee education.
“Those seem to be hot issues for our park owners at the moment,” she highlighted. “We have had many of our park owners that are extremely short-staffed and that in turn leads to poor customer service. We really want to make sure that we are teaching them how to deal with customer service issues when they are short-staffed and still creating that great customer experience.
Outside of customer service and staffing, we’re going to have sessions focused on marketing and other key topics,” Behnke added. “Daredevil Consulting is going to be coming and doing three different sessions on dynamic pricing, different revenue opportunities, as well as managing, motivating and getting the best out of your frontline staff.”
More than 100 vendors are set to participate in the symposium’s expo.
