The Bar Harbor (Maine) Planning Board conducted a completeness review of an application filed by the Bar Harbor/Oceanside Kampgrounds of America (KOA) Holiday at its May meeting, according to the Mount Desert Islander.

The application is for an expansion of the campground’s facilities, including the construction of five new cabins where six RV campsites are currently. The project will also create five new RV sites, where nine worker sites once were and a three-stall bath house.

A motion by Planning Board Secretary Elissa Chesler to find the application incomplete was passed unanimously because the capacity letters from the fire chief and Public Works Department and the letter of no violation had not been received. The board also felt that the site plan needed additional information and labeling to be considered complete.
