It will cost slightly more to camp in Manitoba’s provincial parks in 2008.
The fees are based on a formula that depends on the types of services offered at the campground, but the base rate for a basic site before services will increase to $8.40 from $6.90, according to the Winnipeg Sun.
The government introduced new regulations just before Christmas that also will increase the fees for access permits as well as campground spots effective Jan. 1. A season pass to provincial parks increases to $26.67 in 2008 from $24.75, while a casual, three-day pass increases slightly to $6.67 from $5.95.
