The Maryland Park Service is anticipating capacity crowds at state parks during the Memorial Day weekend. All 2,100 campsites and all cabins across the state are reserved and a summer-like weather forecast is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to state park beaches, picnic areas and trails, Southern Maryland online reported.

Last year, 362,714 people visited Maryland’s state parks during the Memorial Day weekend, setting the stage for hosting approximately 6 million people from the traditional start of summer through the Labor Day weekend.
