A popular fishing spot in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is looking to expand its camping footprint and asking for public feedback, according to MLive.
New campsites are being considered for Carp River Campground in the Hiawatha National Forest.
Up to 15 new sites would sit adjacent to the parking area at the Mouth of the Carp River designated fishing site on Lake Huron, St. Ignace Township.
The Forest Service is considering a proposal to allow camping at these designated sites during limited times of the year, outside the peak season for nearby developed campgrounds.
