Linda Kraak just sold Baldwin Oaks Campground in Hudsonville, Mich., to Don Bazon of Holland, MLive.com reported.

Speculation about the future of the campground surrounded the approval of a small residential housing development adjacent to the campground on the west. Bazon said he is not securing any additional property, and that the campground will continue to operate. He plans to add a few more units and an indoor recreation area and bring back the Sunday morning worship service.

“I’m hoping to make something big and beautiful,” he said. He is the sole owner of the campground, where he has camped for several years. “Camping has always been a passion of mine. God opened the door here, and I’m just walking through it.”

Bazon said he will continue to live in Holland, but will live on site at Baldwin Oaks during the summer season.
