Kiesler’s Campground and RV Resort has held its place on the east side of Waseca, Minn., for 42 years. By the time the 43rd rolls around, there will be 18 more campsites available for campers, the Waseca County News reported.
While the family-oriented, activity-based campground has always been in the Kiesler family, it’s been owned by Steve Kiesler for the last 15 years and he said now is the time to do another expansion.
“I’m not getting any younger,” he said. “And if we want to do this, now is the time.”
When the expansion is complete, the campground will have close to 350 campsites, which include overnight/weekend sites and seasonal sites for those who keep their campers at Kiesler’s year-round.
The new sites will also be seasonal and will include full RV hook-ups, so there will be things like cable and Wi-Fi capability.
Kiesler said the new sites will probably be reserved by those already on the waiting list, which Kiesler’s daughter, Kristie, said is quite long for the seasonal sites.
