Instead of a red carpet to walk there will be lots of yellow tubes to ride for the opening of the Hollywood Lazy River today (May 15) in Bay St. Louis, Miss., the Sun Herald reported.

The 350-foot long lazy river at Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis is adjacent to the resort’s famed swimming pool with its film-strip logo. The two share many of the amenities and the opening of the lazy river adds a swim-up bar, an island sun deck in the middle of the river and a hot tub.

The lazy river is open only to Hollywood Hotel and RV Park guests, who will be given armbands to use the pools.

“With our newly renovated hotel, updated casino, Arnold Palmer signature golf course, a Top 100 Good Sam RV Park and now a Lazy River, we are well-positioned for long-term success and a strong tourism partner for the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” said Hollywood General Manager Chett Harrison.
