A Missouri local lawmaker has filed legislation to sell a state park that was purchased with lead settlement funding in 2015, according to Ozark Radio News. 

Rep. Jeff Pogue, R-Salem, introduced House Bill 776 in early February. Pogue told Ozark Radio News that the bill and an accompanying bill would sell the land comprising Eleven Point State Park, with the land returning to private landowners, and the funds returning to the lead belt region of the state.

A preference would be given to veteran buyers.
