Authorities from the federal government are scheduled to auction off the Circle J Campground and other associated properties, at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 19) after seizing the property for delinquent taxes in late September, the Lebanon (Mo.) Daily Record reported.

The federal government in early 2013 sued the owner of Circle J Campground, Richard L. Johnston. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) alleged that Johnston owed $189,410.54 in taxes, penalties and interest that had not been paid for Circle J employees. Since then, the amount allegedly owed has increased to $192,001.19.

The unpaid taxes date from early 2003 to the time the suit was filled in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on March 18, 2013.
