“We’ve got all these improvements, recreation-wise. Now it’s time to provide better amenities on our campgrounds, noted U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers Park Ranger Brian Falls.

Falls says Missouri’s Mark Twain Lake campgrounds saw a decline in visitors over recent years, according to KHQA.

However, to attract more visitors, Falls says contractors have been working for two years to bring new amenities to the campsites, not only benefiting Mark Twain Lake, but the entire community as well.

Along with improvements to the sewer and electric lines, Falls says additions include new bathroom and shower facilities, added new full-service sites and new concrete pads — all of which he says were suggestions from the public.
