The Edenton, N.C., Town Council approved a special use permit for a 48-unit RV park last week but tabled discussion of an apartment complex proposed by the same developer who owns the long-delayed Hotel Hinton renovation project, according to the Chowan Herald.
Councilors unanimously agreed to James Chesson Jr.’s request to build a 48-unit RV park on 549 Virginia Road. The park, which sits on 11.5 acres, would have 36 back-in sites, nine pull-through sites and three tiny homes. The park also would have a laundry and park store for guests.
Chesson said the park would generate $24,000 in property taxes and $42,000 in occupancy taxes annually. He touted the park’s planned design.
