New York officials are looking for contractors to build a new recreational vehicle park, expand the Midway area and improve the front gate at the New York State Fair, according to state records.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reported that the work — estimated to cost as much as $33 million — is part of New York’s plan to revamp much of the fairgrounds in Geddes.

The bids for the RV park and Midway are due Jan. 20; the state expects that project to cost $20 million to $30 million.

The bids for the new front gate area are due Jan. 14; the state expects that project to cost $2 million to $3 million.

State officials also are reviewing a bid from Total Wrecking & Environmental LLC, of Tonawanda, for the job of demolishing the grandstand and racetrack.
