The National School of RV Park and Campground Management will celebrate its 20th annual session of focused campground management education at the Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling, W. Va., this year, according to a news release.

This year’s session runs Feb. 19-24.

The campground school held its first session in 1994 with eight instructors and 58 students. More than 1,800 students have attended the program, consisting of two one-week sessions. Graduates earn a Certificate of Campground Management that is linked to the Professional level (third level) of the Outdoor Hospitality Education Program.

A third year “Graduate” class has been offered in the past and plans are in the works to offer a new version at the 2014 school. This new “Graduate” level will align with the Executive level of the Outdoor Hospitality Education Program (fourth and final level) and will guide students through a project of their choosing in enhancing their skills as a campground manager and owner.

“The ARVC Foundation and Board of Regents are committed to providing a unique opportunity of immersion for highly motivated, education oriented park operators who seek to improve themselves and their parks,” stated Mark Maciha, the chairman of the school’s board of regents.
