Owners of the Cottonwood Cove Marina & RV Resort in Blair, Neb., got the green light last week to enter the next phase of their 300-site expansion project at the park, the Washington County Pilot-Tribune & Enterprise reported.

The first phase, which began in spring 2014, added 106 new sites to the park. All have been filled, and co-owners Michael and Steve Lupardus said they’re ready for the next step.

“We’re ready to move on to phase two,” Michael said.

The second phase will add approximately 100 sites, followed by 100 more during the third and final phase. Both were approved through a conditional-use permit granted by the county board of supervisors.

Each site has room for an RV with two vehicles parked side-by-side behind it. The second phase will also bring additional overflow parking and street names to provide each numbered site with an address. The Luparduses said this will help direct traffic and emergency personnel who respond to calls at the park.
