City of Severville The development group looking to put a campground on Cate Road can move ahead with its plans after residents in that area dropped a lawsuit looking to block city approval of the zoning, according to The Mountain Press.

Deborah Landrum and James and Kay Tallman filed a complaint in Sevier County (Tenn.) Chancery Court in August, asking the chancellor to overturn the city’s decision to rezone the property from low-density residential to arterial commercial use.

That zoning change would have allowed for an RV campground on the property.

Five Oaks Development Group brought the plans to the city for review last August.
