A March opening is planned for The Creeks, a 60-site RV park near Cave Springs in northwest Arkansas.
Brett Hash and Pat Demaree, residents who operate The Creeks Golf Course, situated one mile south of the downtown area, believe there’s something to be said for the quiet little slice of this region that is Cave Springs. That’s why they’re busy carving out the first phase in what they are confident will become a small attraction of sorts, according to The Benton County Daily Record.
Ground was broken in October for the park. Utilities will be installed early in January. The 60 sites are just the first step in the developers’ vision.
“We’ll open with 60 sites, half of them pull-through and half back-in,” Hash said. “We have a second phase drawn up that would bring us to 125 RV sites, plus we’re getting ready to start working on some nature trails, fishing piers by the creeks and a park. We have 160 acres, including the hillside above the golf course, so we have the land.”
Hash believes amenities will make the RV park portion of what he envisions as becoming a mini resort even more desirable than its location alone. The RV sites will be equipped with sewer, city water, paved roads and pads, cable television, wireless Internet and more.
Later in the spring, Hash hopes to have the nature trails, walking paths, fishing piers and more up and running.
Cave Springs is located midway between Bentonville, home of Wal-Mart, and Fayetteville, main campus for the University of Arkansas.
