The New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is accepting reservations for a new campground at Schodack Island State Park in Rensselaer County, the Daily Freeman reported.

The 67-site location, along the shore of the Hudson River, will open for the first time on April 15. The season will run through Dec. 5.

The state is hoping to attract anglers, hunters, boaters and other outdoor enthusiasts, according to a press release from the parks office.
