Newbook, a provider of reservation and park management software, has announced four new additions to its suite of innovative features designed to help optimize occupancy, drive growth and automate operations, according to a press release.

Newbook’s CEO Shaun Cornelius shared that the company is prioritizing the delivery of features that will help reduce manual labor and optimize occupancy in response to industry feedback on staff shortages and the need to improve operational efficiencies.

“We’re always listening to our customers and the broader industry to drive our product roadmap. Innovation is in our DNA at Newbook and we’re really proud to be consistently delivering new functionalities to help our customers excel in their business,” he noted.

Its new functionalities include:

Optimized Booking Chart

The Optimized Booking Chart is working to maximize occupancy up to 365 days in advance. This intelligent automation analyzes the booking chart to identify gaps and automates bookings to create more availability, making way for additional reservations (and revenue). Updated daily, this tool streamlines advanced planning amidst busy schedules, becoming an asset in optimizing bookings months in advance. “This allows you to focus on the now, with a high impact to increase additional bookings and revenue,” states the release.

Booking Holds

Comparable to the urgency of purchasing event tickets, Newbook’s Booking System now offers the option to add a countdown timer to hold bookings for a specified duration, such as 10 minutes. This feature effectively creates a sense of urgency for guests to complete their check-out and is a valuable tool for peak season and sale periods.

Automated Payments

Recurring invoices and billing long-term guests can now be completely automated — no human intervention is required. This new automated payments feature automatically identifies due invoices, proceeds with payment processing, stores receipts and promptly emails them to your guests. This enhancement not only streamlines operations but also enhances the overall guest experience, states the release.

Hipcamp Integration

Newbook is thrilled to announce its integration with Hipcamp, expanding its online travel agent connections. With this seamless connection, Newbook customers can significantly enhance their online presence, reaching new audiences while ensuring that their listings, rates and inventory remain synchronized in real time.

“Our integration with Newbook brings us one step closer to delivering on Hipcamp’s mission of getting more people outside,” said Kristen Vasan, head of partnerships at Hipcamp. “Since going live in August, Newbook hosts saw a higher-than-average rate of bookings per campground. This speaks to the high quality of supply across Newbook’s platform and the growing demand across our community for access to commercial campgrounds. We look forward to opening even more access to  campers who want to discover and book the perfect site through this integration with Newbook.”

With the announcement coming just weeks before the National Association of RV Parks and Campground’s OHCE, Newbook is set to showcase its full suite of software with live demonstrations at the Newbook booth #424 throughout the expo on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Thursday at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
