NewBook has announced the appointment of Todd Sabo as president of NewBook’s North American division, according to a press release.
NewBook is a worldwide, all-in-one property management system and reservation software platform, founded by tourism entrepreneur and multi-generational RV park owner Brad Illich. The company launched in the North American campground industry in late 2018. Welcomed into a newly created position, Sabo will bring to NewBook a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years, according to the release.
Todd joins NewBook from a multi-industry background in operations, business development, SaaS management, sales, and technology marketing. His most recent position, as the president of RMS North America, saw him leading the company’s strategic vision in the U.S., including the overall management of operations, sales and marketing. Throughout his career, Todd has generated more than $500 million in revenue in start-up and Fortune 500 companies such as AMD, Broadcom, Arithmos and ST Microelectronics, according to the release.
“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the NewBook team during a pivotal time in the transition of hospitality software to the cloud,” said Sabo. “NewBook’s focus on first-class customer service and unparalleled product quality is reassuring to customers who are making the switch to a new cloud-based property management system. This coupled with NewBook’s integration of disruptive hospitality technology makes for a winning customer combination in the hospitality technology market.”
As a Californian resident who has been a global road warrior and outdoor enthusiast for the last 25 years, Todd is familiar with the operational needs and wants of property owners and managers and will be responsible for the management of NewBook’s American team and laying the foundation for the company’s rapid expansion, noted the release.
“We’ve recently made a sizeable investment in developing new innovations targeted largely at the North American campground industry, including our self-service kiosks, meaning we’ve had to consider how to manage our growth in the U.S.,” explained Illich. “When I first met Todd on stage during the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo in 2019, I found him to be professional, intelligent and a formidable competitor, so naturally there was no better man for the job. The NewBook team is excited to have Todd on board to see him pave the way towards creating the same cult following within the U.S. that we currently see in Australia and New Zealand.”
