The Ohio Campground Owners Association (OCOA) is preparing to host a Young Professional’s (YP) networking event during its annual spring conference from March 6-7, according to a press release.
The conference is being held at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport in Columbus, Ohio, and will feature numerous speakers, networking events, and a vendor expo. Jayne Cohen, of Gorin & Cohen Consulting, will be the conference’s keynote speaker.
The Young Professional’s networking event will take place on March 6 at the hotel’s Flight Bistro & Bar after OCOA’s Roaring 20s Night & Auction. The networking event is intended as a casual way for OCOA Young Professionals to get to know each other.
“Our hope is to build on the success of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds’ (ARVC) Young Professionals group and create an environment where the state associations can continue to build local relationships all year,” said Brian Searl, who is sponsoring the event and helped with the initial efforts to organize it.
“We are looking for Young Professionals that are interested in filling leadership roles so that we can develop those invaluable connections,” he added. “Those leaders and members will work continuously with the entire OCOA organization to create learning experiences that help all of us grow.”
If you are interested in helping to organize the OCOA Young Professional’s group, please contact Mistina Koppes at (330) 635-5058 or by email at [email protected] To learn more about becoming an involved member of OCOA contact the association’s Executive Director Kristy Smith at [email protected] or (614) 221-7748.
