Plans and discussion are underway in St. Joseph County, Mich.’s Sherman Township to build a campground with an off-road vehicle park after brothers Ben and Jamey Rouch of Three Rivers purchased 300 acres on M-66 last year, the Three Rivers Commercial-News reported.

Bruce Bart, Sherman Township supervisor, said the Rouch brothers approached the township early last spring inquiring about purchasing the property.

He said they presented the idea to the board to not only put in a campground with an off-road vehicle park, but to also put in commercial businesses along M-66. “We’ve been working with our planning board, we’ve had public hearings, we’ve rezoned 6.5 acres around the front [of the property],” Bart said,.
