Officials in Clay County, Ky., hope an RV park will bring more visitors to the community, television station WYMT reported.
The road to economic prosperity is not always paved from the start. Sometimes, it takes a little work first.
That is why Clay County Judge Executive Joe Asher wants to turn a 15-acre plot of land in the Elk Mountain Industrial Park into a camping destination.
“We have people that come up there and park anyway. In the future, we would like to build an RV park up there with maybe 20 to 25 spaces,” said Asher.
While there are some facilities already at the site, officials said in order to make the land ready for such a park, they need some more development.
