The aquatic park at Uhrichsville, Ohio, may have a new neighbor once it opens next summer – a campground near Stillwater Creek, according to the New Philadelphia Times Reporter, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
During the Uhrichsville City Council meeting Thursday (Sept. 27), council members approved a study to be conducted by Hammontree & Associates Ltd. of North Canton for $14,400, paid through the aquatic park fund.
Councilman Rob Stewart, who is on the park committee, said adding a camping facility next to the water park could facilitate more tourism in the area.
If all goes as planned, Stewart said, a bridge also would be installed over the creek so visitors could use land on the other side of it, which is currently vacant.
Board members approved the study by a 5-1 vote.
