The municipality of Kincardine, Ontario, has approved and signed a site plan agreement with the owners of Pinetree Campground & RV Resort for a redevelopment project, according to a press release.

This agreement approves the addition of 171 fully-serviced RV sites in the town of Tiverton, Ontario. The applicants Jason & Darnelle Queenen also operate an existing, mature campground in Port Elgin by the name of Kenorus Campground & RV Resort.

The bulk of the construction for Pinetree is planned for 2022, with infrastructure currently being established. Completion of this development is projected for the spring of 2023. This new resort will be complete with city water and sewer, as well as brand new electricity infrastructure providing clean services to each site.

The applicants plan 69 of the proposed sites as extended stay sites with park model RVs for a 55-plus retirement community. The balance of proposed sites are to be reserved as seasonal sites and more than 40 transient daily camping sites.
