The Oregon Lodging Association has named Jeff Hampton its president and CEO, three months after he was recruited from Travel Oregon to serve as temporary executive director for the industry association.
Hampton formerly worked as Travel Oregon’s policy and research manager and previously held posts with the Oregon Restaurant Association, where he directed membership sales and operations for it and the Oregon Lodging Association, according to bizjournals.com.
Hampton is a graduate of Western Oregon University and of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management.
The Portland-based lodging association represents the interests of approximately 1,100 hotels, motels, resorts and other lodging facilities including RV parks. It serves as an advocate for the industry in the state’s capital and as a business resource.
