Tony and Kathy Palmeri have joined the staff of Leisure Systems Inc. (LSI) as directors of franchise sales, according to an announcement from Rob Schutter Jr., LSI president.
They take over a position formerly held by Richard Carroll before retiring in 2006.
The Palmeris own the Jellystone Park in Estes Park, Colo. They will continue to own the park, however day-to-day operations will be handled by a new management team that has recently been put into place.
The Palmeris have been in the campground business since 1994. Kathy served on the board of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) for nine years, two of which she was the chairwoman
“The interest in our camp-resort system continues to increase and there was a need to have staff dedicated to the expansion of the franchise,” Schutter explained in a memo to LSI staff and franchisees. “Their primary responsibilities will include attending state campground association trade shows, following up on leads and evaluating potential franchise locations. Their experience and enthusiasm for the Jellystone Park system will be a valuable asset not only in their discussions with potential franchisees, but to LSI as well in meeting our goals for growth.”
