In the second quarter of fiscal 2016, Skyline Corp., a manufactured housing and park model builder, posted an 18% gain in revenue compared with the previous year.

The Elkhart Ind.-based company reported:

  • Net sales from continuing operations of $58.7 million, an increase of 18% over net sales of $49.6 million in the year ago quarter.
  • Net income from continuing operations of $1.7 million as compared to net income of $81,000 in the second quarter of fiscal 2015.
  • Net loss from discontinued operations of $42,000 as compared to a net loss of $3.5 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2015.
  • Net income of $1.7 million, or 20 cents per share as compared to a net loss of $3.44 million, or 41 cents per share, in the second quarter of fiscal 2015.

In the first half of fiscal 2016, results showed:

  • Net sales from continuing operations of $107.4 million, an increase of 8% over net sales of $99.3 million in the year ago quarter.
  • Net income from continuing operations of $853,000 as compared to a net loss of $1.1 million in the first half of fiscal 2015.
  • Net income from discontinued operations of $19,000 as compared to a net loss of $6.1 million in the first half of fiscal 2015.
  • Net income of $872,000, or 10 cents per share, as compared to a net loss of $7.2 million, or 86 cents per share, in the first half of fiscal 2015.
