Promotional brochure for Pine Mountain fundraiser.

Pine Mountain RV Resort, an RVC Outdoor Destination vacation property in Georgia, will host its first car show called “Cruisin’ Cars on the Mountain” during Father’s Day weekend June 16-17.

The event is open to the public, and a portion of all proceeds will go to Our Fallen Soldier, a charity that aids families of soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty, according to a news release.

“At Pine Mountain RV Resort, we’re dedicated to helping the troops who have so bravely sacrificed for our country,” said Jim Anderson, general manager at Pine Mountain. “This fundraiser is very important to us because the money raised will help family members of those men and women who have given their lives for our country, and we encourage as many people as possible to come out and support this worthwhile cause.”

Antique, classic and muscle cars will be on display at the event and attendees will be able to vote to help select winners. Guests will also enjoy live music, catered barbeque, hot dogs and drinks from local vendors, raffles and children’s activities. Admission is $5 per person.

Pine Mountain will donate funds raised for families of Fort Benning for grief counseling as a part of the Our Fallen Soldier organization. Our Fallen Soldier is run by volunteers and 95 percent of its annual donations are given directly to families in need.
