Polly Products’ New Hot Plate Eliminates Melting Issues

Michigan-based Polly Products Inc., a manufacturer of recycled furniture for the outdoor hospitality industry, has released a new product that it says will eliminate accidental burns and melt damage on its picnic tables caused by hot pans or grills, according to company officials.   

The Table Hot Plate is high-heat resistant, so pans and pokers straight off the fire won’t hurt the plate or the recycled plastic picnic table beneath it. It also provides a heat shield for tabletop grills. This product is designed to be screwed directly onto square or rectangular tabletops whether made of 2’x10’s or 2’x6’s.  

James Chew, of Urban Design/Environmental Specialty Products, assisted Polly Products in the creation of the new Table Hot Plate.

The Table Hot Plate is available as an option to a table order or is independently sold to protect existing tables. Each Table Hot Plate comes with pilot holes already drilled into it, security screws and a special drill bit to tighten the security screws.
