Ben Quiggle, 34, has joined the G&G Media Group LLC staff as editor of Woodall’s Campground Management (WCM), the nation’s only independent print publication serving the RV park and campground business.
In that role, Quiggle replaces Justin Leighty, another former newspaper man who passed away in a June 27 traffic mishap.
A Jamestown, N.Y., native who grew up in Coldwater, Mich., Quiggle attended Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Va., before obtaining a journalism degree from Grace College in Warsaw, Ind. He then worked for local NBC affiliate WNDU-16 in South Bend and was managing editor of the Chronicle-Tribune in Marion, Ind. before most recently serving as a staff writer for The Elkhart Truth, a daily newspaper located in the RV-building center of northern Indiana.
He and his wife of 14 years, Ferron Quiggle, have three boys between the ages of 6 and 13 who reportedly keep them “busy and active.”
An avid Buffalo Bills fan and active Twitter user (@BenQuiggle), Quiggle’s hobbies include camping, hunting, playing sports and writing.
“We’re extremely pleased to have been able to quickly connect with an Elkhart area resident with Ben’s qualifications who can gracefully step into the editor’s slot at Woodall’s Campground Management,” said G&G Publisher Sherman Goldenberg, a co-owner with Beverly Gardner of the small Elkhart, Ind., publishing house. “WCM has been gaining ground and credibility lately as a trade news source, thanks to Justin and the staff in general, and we trust that that evolution will continue under Ben’s guidance.”
