Robert Bouse and Ben Carr, 30-year campground industry veterans and “Top Dogs” of Red Rover Camping, did a “soft roll out” of their new social media marketing tool at the recent Campground Owners of New York (CONY) conference and signed several campgrounds.

“We wanted to get a feel for what campground operators’ concerns might be about our new concept and felt that introducing it at a more regional venue was a good way to talk to owners/operators prior to the major rollout at the ARVC (National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds) Conference in Las Vegas at the end of November,” Carr stated in a news release.

“Even with a prototype display booth and only a beta test site to show folks, the response was amazingly positive with campgrounds deciding to sign up prior to the site even being online. Almost everyone we talked to committed to signing up once the site was up, with comments like ‘why wouldn’t we sign up’ and ‘it’s a no-brainer,'” said Bouse.

Having run and owned campgrounds for over 30 years, Carr and Bouse felt their concept was going to be well received but neither anticipated this overwhelmingly positive response, they stated.

Red Rover Camping is one of the sponsors of the ARVC Conference in Las Vegas and will have their new concept online and ready to begin sending campgrounds new customers by the start of 2013.
