RoverPass, a reservation and property management platform for campgrounds and RV parks, has launched AI Chatbot, a website assistant that answers guest questions using only the information a park has provided. Owners manage it from the RoverPass Owner Portal and add it to their own website with a single line of code. When the assistant cannot support an answer with the park’s own information, it says so and sends the guest to the park, according to a press release.
Every park answers the same short list of questions all season. Do you take dogs? What time is check-in? Will a 40-foot rig fit in site 12? Those questions arrive by phone, by email and through social media, and many land after the office has closed for the night.

Owners have been cautious about putting AI on their websites, and the caution is earned. An assistant that quotes the wrong nightly rate or invents a cancellation window creates a problem the front desk cleans up at the counter, with a guest holding the wrong answer in writing.
“Owners are not asking for a bot that sounds clever. They are asking for one that will not embarrass them,” said Ravi Parikh, CEO and founder at RoverPass. “So we built this around a limit rather than a capability. It answers based on what the park actually says, it shows where every answer came from, and when it does not know, it hands the guest back to the park.”
Setup imports the campground’s data from RoverPass, so the assistant starts with information about the property. Owners add their own entries in plain language, sorted into categories such as rates, rules, pet policy, check-in, and amenities. Every reply carries a citation back to the entry behind it, so an owner can see which piece of their own writing produced it. Owners also write the message the assistant falls back to when nothing supports a reply.
Key capabilities of RoverPass AI Chatbot:
- Answer guest questions on the park’s own website at any hour, installed with a single line of code
- Draw only on information the park provided, with a citation on every answer showing its source
- Fall back to a message the owner writes, pointing the guest to the park instead of guessing
- Collect every unanswered question on one list, so owners answer it once and the assistant uses it from then on
- Review full conversation history and guest ratings, and load the widget only on approved domains
“The part owners react to is the list of questions the assistant could not answer,” said Angie Tuarez, product leader at RoverPass. “That list is the clearest record a park will ever get of what guests want to know that the website never told them. An owner answers one of those once, and the assistant uses that answer from then on.”
Questions reach that list when the assistant finds nothing to support a reply, when it answers without support or when a guest marks a reply unhelpful. Owners clear them as they appear, so the assistant covers more of the park each week. RoverPass recommends covering rates, pet policy, check-in, cancellation terms and hookups before the widget goes live.
Campground owners and operators can set up an AI Chatbot for their campground in the Owner Portal. Product details are in RoverPass AI Chatbot and more on RoverPass reservation and management software.
