EDITOR’S NOTE: RV Education 101, the longtime education resource for RV consumers founded and operated by Mark and Dawn Polk, recently published its January 2022 newsletter. Articles and videos in this issue include, among others, RV Exterior Preventative Maintenance, How to Select an Equal-i-zer Hitch Shank, and “Rollin’ On TV” Rebrands as “RVing Today.” Below is Mark Polk’s introduction to the January 2022 issue.
Happy New Year,
Today starts a brand new year, so let’s look forward to a brighter, and better year than 2021.
I mentioned last month that we are starting the new year with a new project, converting an and old, plain 3/4 van into a more modern day camping van. When you tackle a project like this there is a lot of planning and forward thinking that goes into it. You need to think about what future episodes will encompass so you can start finding and ordering parts and pieces in advance. That is what I have been doing all last month. We plan to start filming soon, and if all goes well the van project segments will air on Rollin On TV, and be posted on YouTube starting in early spring, so stay tuned.
This month’s newsletter is an abbreviated version, so I am including my Guide to RV Preventive Maintenance as the feature article. It is much more than a guide; in addition to all the written content, it includes 18 of our popular how-to videos. At the end of the guide there is a downloadable PDF link, so you can download, keep and use the information when it’s time to take the RV out of storage and prep it for the 2022 camping season.
Enjoy the newsletter, and as always, if you have family or friends who like RVs and the RV lifestyle please share with them too.
Have fun ringing in the new year,
Mark
