Jim Vernes started RV Golf Club to cater to an estimated 30% of RVers who golf. Vernes’ idea was to partner with golf clubs across the country in order to guarantee free overnight RV parking at hundreds of golf courses and free two-night stays at RV resorts across the U.S. and Canada, according to a press release.
Since the group’s launch earlier this year, golfers and non-golfers have been able to use RV Golf Club membership, according to the organization.
“This is a whole new beautiful world, never before embraced by RVers,” Vernes said. “It takes the ‘golden years’ to a higher level. You get to enjoy the comfort and convenience of your RV while being treated like a member of these great golf courses and RV resorts. Enjoy golfing or just the scenery, dining, shopping and spa treatments,” he said.
Annual membership costs $99 and provides free RV parking and member discounts on green fees, food, beverages, golf-shop merchandise and other services, according to the group. RV Golf Club also has a lifetime membership option.
