Neighbors around a proposed RV park on West Pioneer Boulevard in Mesquite, Nev., received a mailed notice last week inviting them to meet with the developer, Curtis Muir from Heber City, Utah, to learn more about the project, the Mesquite Local News reported.
The vacant land on which the park could be built is located between the Mesquite United Methodist Church and the Town and Country commercial mall next to Interstate 15. Currently, the 14.7 acres is zoned for multi-family low density housing that allows eight units per acre.
Under the application Muir submitted to the City of Mesquite Development Department, one acre would be rezoned for public facilities related to the church next door. The applicant is asking for the remaining 13.7 acres to be rezoned for RV/mobile home resort use also with eight units per acre. The change would allow 104 units in the complex at any time.
