The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) April survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished above 40,000 for the second month.
Monthly shipments totaled 42,295; an increase of 5.6% compared to last April, according to RVIA. Year-to-date wholesale RV shipments have reached 163,161 units, up 10.1% when compared to totals through last April 2016.
All towable RVs led by conventional travel trailers reached a total of 37,195; up 6.1% compared to April last year. Year-to-date all towable RVs are up 9.7% compared to last year with 141,714 units being currently reported.
Motorhome shipments, led by Class C motorhomes, totaled 5,100 units this month, up 1.7% compared to April last year. Year-to-date motorhome shipments are at 21,447 units, up 12.6% compared to the year-to-date total at this point in 2016.
